Questions? Here are some answers!

Our FAQs section is here to provide you with quick answers to some of the most common questions about orthodontic treatment. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

What is the first step in getting started with orthodontic treatment?

The first step is scheduling a complimentary consultation, where we’ll assess your smile and discuss the best treatment options for you.

How long will my treatment take?

Treatment time varies depending on the individual, but most cases take between 12 to 24 months.

What foods should I eat and what should I avoid?

When you first get your braces, you may want to enjoy some soft foods, as you may experience some slight discomfort. To prevent from damaging any of your brackets and wires, it is recommeded to always avoid any hard and crunchy foods such as popcorn, hard candy, and nuts and to avoid sticky foods like gum.

Is it okay to play sports with braces?

Yes! We will advise, however, that you always wear a mouthguard to protect both your braces and your mouth.

What is early orthodontic treatment?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children be seen for orthodontic evaluation by age 7. Early treatment can help address bite issues and guide proper jaw development in children, setting the stage for better results later.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with most insurance providers and will help maximize your benefits.

Is orthodontic treatment painful?

While you may feel some discomfort after adjustments, it’s usually mild and temporary. During this time, your orthodontist may suggest over-the-counter pain medicine. For any broken brackets and wires, always apply the provided wax to protect your mouth, and give us a call right away.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth, offering a discreet treatment option.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

Treatment costs vary based on your individual needs, but we offer affordable options and work with you to find a plan that fits your budget.

What should I do if I experience an issue with my braces?

If you have any concerns or discomfort, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll schedule an appointment to address the issue promptly.
